I’ve been following seven different men’s fashion blogs for about two weeks now…
… and it has almost convinced me that “men’s fashion” in Second Life basically means “gay vampire teen elves”.
Someone prove me wrong please.
Seriously… there are so many awesome designers out there, making such awesome stuff for women in so many different styles… why does men’s fashion have to be uniformly ugly, with only a very few notable exceptions (and even those exceptions are becoming pretty boring by now since they are all just repetitions of the same thing)?
I mean… how many different tuxes and “good suits”, how many different sneakers and jeans, how many different t-shirts does a guy need?
In SL, where clothes don’t wear out? One of each, with the single exception of t-shirts from T Junction maybe
And when a guy as those “one of each”, what is left?
Not much unless you want to look as if you’re wearing a costume.

Last night, D’Ior Modelling Agency presented the new collection from {Meghindo’s}, and Mori and I went over to see it.
For some strange reason, the blog post that I had found about the show had coordinates to some empty spot of air roughly 1200 meters above the offices of D’Ior Modelling Agency. I guess there must have been a skybox at that point in the past.
After a rather hurried way down to the ground (listening to “Free Falling” playing in my head), we found a catwalk… but no one else was there.
After a bit of waiting I simply asked someone from the Agency about the show, and got a teleport offer as a reply… obviously they had relocated the show, and the blog post, which was on a third party site, had not been updated or followed up.
But I digress. I do that a lot, if you guys don’t stop me in time. Don’t let me go off on a tangent like this.
My wife and I had seen some designs from {Meghindo’s} in the past, my wife even has an older dress from there, and I have to admit that older dress had rather spectacularly failed to impress us when it came out of the box… “no-mod” skirt prims are a spawn of the satan, I tell you.
But as soon as the show started, we were simply blown away by the sheer (literally in many cases), awesomeness on the catwalk, and therefore, without any further unnecessary rambling, here’s a bunch of pictures from the show.

Sheer awesomeness.

Stunning silver.

Lady in red (hint: SL 2.0 alpha layers that hide the whole leg, and no shoes and a “hobble” walk).

More red.

Black and red… a classic.

Definitely not the “little black dress”.

The bride and the evil mother-in-law?

More sheer awesomeness.

Now here’s a “little black dress”… that is quite not so ordinary either.
If any of you get the same “itch” in her wallet that I got when I saw these outfits, here’s the address: {Meghindo’s}
